Should I Consider Counseling?
Frequently Asked Questions
No, you don’t. You do need to keep in mind that we are Christian counselors so there is only so far we will be able to take you. We approach everything from a Christian or Biblical worldview so, at some point, our two opinions and beliefs will be at odds. We will help in whatever way we can but we will not shove our religion on you. When we reach the place where we cannot help further, we will let you know and ask that you do the same so we do not create unnecessary hard feelings. Just let us know upfront and we’ll honor your preferences.
The most important way that we are different is that we are positioned to treat the whole person – psychologically and spiritually. And the second way is that we specialize in the spiritual. The part of us that is invisible cannot be divided so anything that is emotional or mental or relational (or physical) is also spiritual. We are made of many indivisible parts. We treat all of you, giving special emphasis to the spiritual aspect, our connection with God. It is this, a relationship with God, that we believe is the part that brings all the others into calming order and gives them profound and satisfying meaning.
Our counsel is Christian and Biblical at its very foundation, supported by the psychological way that God designed us. To be a complete package, our coaching and counsel includes a healthy dose of emotional, mental, physical, practical, proactive, and actionable help.
A session is typically 50-75 minutes. The session length varies based on the type of counseling provided. The fee is a flat rate and not anchored to a specific length.
Our standard fee is $85 per 50-75 minute session. For more information, refer to the question, “Do you offer reduced rates if I’m unable to pay the full fee?”
